A symposium exploring the relation between word, image and translation in Sebald’s work, with contributions from invited speakers including Richard Hibbitt (Leeds), Stephen Watts (London) and Lynn Wolff (Michigan State).

The British Centre for Literary Translation (BCLT) is hosting two events marking what would have been the 75th birthday of its founder, W.G. Sebald, and coinciding with the exhibition “W.G. Sebald: Far Away — But From Where?”, which opens at the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts on 11 May.
