Our work with other organisations
BCLT is a member of the international RECIT network of literary translation centres and works closely with regional, national and international partners including the Translators Association and English PEN. BCLT is also an Associate Member of the Free Word Centre and co-sponsors, with the British Comparative Literature Association, the Dryden Translation Competition.
For our annual International Literary Translation Summer School, we have had the support of partners such as the Austrian Cultural Forum, the Blue Metropolis Foundation, the Goethe-Institut, New Spanish Books, the Italian Cultural Institute, and the Nippon Foundation.
Recent initiatives to make the BCLT Summer School model available abroad have involved working with Arts Council England, the British Council, Penguin China, Penguin Arabia, as well as government offices in China and Egypt.
Our academic work is embedded within the School of Literature and Creative Writing and the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of East Anglia, allowing us to collaborate with numerous scholars who are members of our Affiliated Faculty.
