Making the Crossing: The Poet as Translator

There's only a week to go until our annual Sebald Lecture on 6 February. So don't forget to book your ticket for this highlight of the literary translation calendar. The 2012 Lecture takes place once again at Kings Place, London, and will be given by the award-winning poet, broadcaster and critic Sean O'Brien.

The evening also includes the presentation of the annual Translation Prizes administered by the Society of Authors and featuring translations from Arabic, Dutch/Flemish, French, German and Spanish.

BCLT at Jewish Book Week

Award-winning poet and translator Peter Cole gives a translation masterclass on 19 February at Kings Place, London. We will be programming a series of translation events with literature festivals throughout the UK in 2012. Look out for more information in our February newsletter.
