BCLT/TA Mentoring Scheme

The mentoring programme is aimed at emerging literary translators into English and gives mentees the opportunity to work closely with experienced mentors on developing their craft, through a combination of face-to-face-meetings and email contacts.   The scheme also provides the opportunity to develop contacts in the publishing industry.

The next mentoring programme will begin in January 2013.  We will announce details of the programme as languages and funding are confirmed.  Further information about how to apply will be available in September 2012

Chinese
The Chinese-English mentorship will be awarded to the winner of the Harvill Secker Young Translators’ Prize 2012.   Entrants for the prize will be asked to translate the short story The Wig by Han Dong. Closing date 27 July 2012
