Advanced Translation Workshop:

How to apply

To apply for the Korean Advanced Translation workshop you must do the following:

  1. Complete an Advanced Translation Workshop Application Form

  2. Complete a separate Personal Details Form

  3. Once you have completed the two Word documents, save them as two separate PDF documents (include your name in the file names) and email them to us by Sunday 30th August 2026 (23:59 BST) - bclt@uea.ac.uk

  4. Please also complete this anonymous equality and diversity questionnaire

The application form asks you:

Why you are applying for the Advanced Translation workshop at this moment in time.

What your literary translation experience is so far to date.

What you hope to gain from attending this workshop.

You must include a sample translation (no longer than 350 words) into English.

You must also describe the project that you would like to pitch during the workshop.

Applications will be reviewed by a selection panel including the workshop leader and a member of the BCLT team. Make sure your application shows your commitment to literary translation and why you are applying for this training opportunity at this moment in time. Explain how you will contribute to the workshop group.

Deadline for applications: Sunday 30th August (23:59 BST).
